How this site handles personal data, written to the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Last updated August 2026.
Makaya Consult LTD, RC 9806681, a private company limited by shares incorporated in Nigeria under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020, with its registered office at Otun, Onipe, Olaniyi Opayinka Road, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, postcode 110115. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
Questions about this notice, or any request to exercise the rights set out below, should go to admin@makayaconsult.com.
Only what you type into the enquiry form and send: your name, email address, organisation if you give one, and the answers you select about your project, together with your message.
This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no session tracking and no third-party tag. Because there is nothing to consent to, there is no cookie banner.
Two third-party requests are made by your browser when a page loads, and you should know about both. Typefaces are requested from Google Fonts, and form submissions are transmitted to Formspree, which relays them to our inbox. Each of those providers necessarily receives your IP address as part of the request. Our web host records standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and diagnostics.
The lawful bases we rely on under section 25 of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 are your consent in submitting the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to and recording business enquiries.
The directors and staff of Makaya Consult LTD who need to, and our processors. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with marketing companies, and we do not pass an enquiry to a financier, contractor or agent without asking you first.
Our processors are Formspree, which handles form transmission, and our web hosting provider. Both operate outside Nigeria, so submitting the form involves a transfer of your data abroad. We rely on the adequacy and contractual safeguards contemplated by sections 41 and 43 of the Act.
Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept for two years and then deleted. Records relating to an engagement are kept for six years after it ends, which is the period our tax and professional obligations require. Server logs are kept for ninety days.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or send it to you or someone else in a portable form. You may withdraw consent at any time, and you may object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interest.
Write to admin@makayaconsult.com. We respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry data is transmitted over an encrypted connection and held in access-controlled systems. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed absolutely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
If we change it materially we will change the date at the head of this page and, where the change affects data we already hold, tell the people affected.
Makaya Consult FZE, our sister company inside Eko Atlantic City, is a separate legal entity and publishes its own privacy policy.
