Founder
Founder and Managing Director. Trained in actuarial science, formed by fifteen years of Nigerian development, and answerable for every mandate the firm accepts.
The training is actuarial. That is an unusual foundation for a developer and it shows in how the practice works: a project is a set of cash flows under uncertainty before it is a building, and the discipline of saying what you assumed, what you tested, and how wrong you can afford to be is not optional.
What the training does not supply is site experience, and the second half of the record is where that came from.
More than fifteen years working inside Nigerian real estate development, most of it around Eko Atlantic City from its early phases. That period covers the financial modelling and the US$500 million capital raise for the city, and the conceptual and financial development, with Gerald D. Hines and the Lagos State Government, of the Westgate lagoon-crossing corridor from Freedom Way to the Adekunle junction of the Third Mainland Bridge.
From 2019 to 2023 he was Chief Executive of Eko Development Company, the developer of Azuri Towers. The tower was commissioned on schedule in December 2021, having been built through the COVID-19 pandemic and the supply chain disruption that followed it, without halting construction.
Delivering a 146 metre residential building on its date in that environment is the single fact he would ask a prospective client to weigh, because it is the one that cannot be argued into existence after the event.
Makaya Consult FZE is licensed to operate inside Eko Atlantic City and nowhere else. The problems that kept arriving were not inside Eko Atlantic City. A community with one gate and no second access. A landowner on the mainland with a site and no organisation. A corridor everyone agrees should exist that nobody has structured. Makaya Consult LTD was incorporated in August 2026 so that work can be taken.
Impossible does not exist. It is a description of a structure that has not been found yet.
